Maple Buttercream Icing


2 cups butter or margarine, room temperature
6 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon orange juice concentrate
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
4 cups (1 pound) confectioners’ (powdered) sugar


In a large mixing bowl, combine butter, syrup, orange juice and lemon rind. Blend in confectioner’s sugar. Beat until just creamy, do not overbeat.
