Chocolate Peanut Bars
24 bar cookies
2 cups chocolate graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 (11 ounce) package or 1 2/3 cups peanut butter & milk chocolate morsels, divided
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup peanuts, coarsely chopped
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, butter and sugar. Press onto the bottom of an ungreased 13" x 9" baking pan.
In a medium, microwave-safe bowl, microwave 1 cup morsels, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract on high (100%) power for 1 minute. Stir. Microwave at additional 10-20 second intervals, stirring until smooth. Pour evenly over crust. Top with nuts and remaining morsels.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or or until edges are bubbly. Place on wire rack and cool completed in pan. After cool, cut into 24 bars.
