Butterscotch Picnic Bars
2/3 cup margarine or butter
2 1/4 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
3 large eggs
2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 (6 ounce) package butterscotch pieces
1 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a jelly roll pan using Pan Release.
Melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in brown sugar. Remove from heat and cool for 10 minutes. Add eggs, beating until smooth. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Stir into butter mixture. Add butterscotch pieces and nuts. Spread in greased jelly roll pan. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes. Cool. Cut into 2" x 1 1/2" bars.
