Applesauce Raisin Fudge

16 pieces

1 cup applesauce
1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 1/3 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup powdered milk
1/4 cup raisins, chopped
1/4 cup slivered almonds

Line an 8" x 8" square baking pan with aluminum foil, extending foil at least 2" over ends of pan.

In a small saucepan, bring applesauce, chocolate chips and sugar to a rolling boil. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.

Combine graham cracker crumbs, dry milk and raisins in a mixing bowl. Add chocolate mixture. Mix well. Pour into prepared baking pan.

Refrigerate until firm. Using the extended edges, lift fudge from pan. Place on cutting board. Peel off foil. Cut into 1" squares. Sprinkle squares with slivered almonds.
