Chocolate Glazed Almonds


1 1/2 cups


1 cup slivered almonds
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
1/2 cup dipping chocolate


Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat cookie sheet with butter.

In a mixing bowl, combine almonds and corn syrup. Add confectioners’ sugar. Blend well. Spread one layer thick onto the cookie sheet. Bake until golden. Loosen almonds from cookie sheet while still warm. When cool, break apart and dip in chocolate.


Crispy Chocolate Glazed Almonds: Prepare recipe above. After removing candy from oven, break into small pieces while still warm. Add 1 cup crisp rice cereal or other crunchy cereal to the melted chocolate. Mix well. Drop onto buttered cookie sheet in clusters. Let stand until cool.
