Caramel Corn


1 cup unpopped popcorn
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon baking powder


Pop popcorn in an air popper. Remove all unpopped kernels. Place in a clean brown paper bag.

Place butter, sugar, salt and corn syrup in a microwave bowl. Microwave at for 2 minutes. Stir. Microwave again for 2 minutes. Add baking powder; stir until blended. Pour mixture over popcorn.

Close and shake bag. Microwave for 2 minutes. Shake bag. Microwave for an additional 2 minutes.
