Butter Mints


3-4 dozen


1/2 cup butter, room temperature
3 3/4 cups confectioners’ (powdered) sugar
1 tablespoon whipping cream
1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract
food coloring (liquid or paste)


In a large mixing bowl, cream butter. Blend in sugar gradually, mixing until smooth. Add whipping cream, peppermint extract, and food coloring. Blend well. Spoon batter into a cake decorating bag. Using a shaped cake decorating tip, press shapes onto waxed paper. Let mints set up for 30 minutes.


Store in an airtight container in a cool place.
