2 large eggs
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup maple syrup
6 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 one-ounce squares unsweetened chocolate
3/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
sifted powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9" x 9" x 2" pan using Pan Release.
In a medium mixing bowl beat together eggs, sugar and vanilla. Add syrup and mix well. In a sauce pan, melt butter and chocolate over low heat. Blend in egg mixture. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Stir into chocolate mixture. Stir in nuts. Spread in greased baking pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool. Dust with powdered sugar.
