Chunky Blonde Brownies


36 brownies


1/2 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup vanilla chips
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup Macadamia nuts or blanched almonds, chopped and divided


Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 13" x 9" x 2" pan using Pan Release.

In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugars. Add in eggs and vanilla. Mix well. In a mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in vanilla and chocolate chips, and 1/2 cup nuts. Spoon into greased baking pan. Spread evenly to cover bottom of pan. Sprinkle with remaining nuts. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool before cutting.
