Chewy Peanut Butter Blondies

16 brownies

Ingredients

1/2 cup peanut butter
1/3 cup butter or margarine, room temperature
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9" x 9" baking pan using Pan Release.

In a medium bowl, cream together peanut butter and butter. Gradually blend in sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until fluffy. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir into the peanut butter mixture until well blended. Spread batter into prepared pan.

Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the top springs back when touched. Do not overbake. Center should be set (slightly sticky) but not dry. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into squares.
